What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy skillfully combines asana (pose) and pranayama (breath) with mindfulness practices and yoga philosophy, as a way to provide glimpses into mind states, awaken the mind body relationship, and address musculo skeletal imbalances.
Together these skills aim to lessen the burdens associated with depression and anxiety and relieve chronic pain. They aim to improve sleep and mental clarity along with promote digestive endocrine and immune function.
Each session addresses the client's individual needs and provides a compassionate space to explore healing. Yoga Therapy provides the student with an opportunity to practice mindfulness skills that lead to a deeper understanding of what it means to be human.
